Welsberg, Paul Troger's town
Paul Troger, Austrian Baroque painter, was born on 30th October 1698 the son of a sexton and dressmaker in Welsberg. His "Troger-blue" is still mesmerizing. The tour starts at his birthplace and goes on to the parish church where three of his masterpieces adorn the altar. You then stop at some other beautiful places and lanes of Welsberg.
